i just received an email from a niece in the philippines who informed me that the banks have run out of 20 and 50 peso bills. apparently, these are the denominations used to buy votes. according to her, in one of the remote barrios, it's 20 pesos plus, like 20 pesos plus paracetamol, aspirin, etc. kailan pa lalaya si Inang Bayan?
